The Oswego Yacht Club is thrilled to bring back its first small sailboat fleet in nearly a decade. The classic Flying Scot has made an impressive return to the Port City, with a fleet of ten member-owned boats that continues to grow. 

To mark the exciting return, OYC hosted a  small-boat sailing regatta Saturday, October 11th. More than 25 members of the Oswego community participated in the on-the-water event, followed by an even greater turnout at the Fall Dinner and Awards Ceremony later that evening, two events that OYC is looking forward to hosting annually. 

The success and enthusiasm surrounding the newly re-formed fleet marks an exciting moment for the city's recreational boating community. OYC offers 'Try Sailing' events in the Spring for non-members (no experience necessary), as well as weekly sailboat racing through the summer. With several club boats available to experienced skippers, the Club is looking forward to a busy 2026 season. Membership is open and interested boaters are warmly invited to join.
