The race was held in two to six knots of wind and confused choppy seas. The Race committee set a W5 windward leeward course for the twenty competitors but shortened it to two legs. In first was Charlie Krylo sailing sailing "Seaweed", followed by John Heretyk on "Shockwave" and third was Tom Doran's "Oz" . In Division 1 fleet newcomer Mike McCormick sailed his J/29 "Nemisis" to a first place finish beating Dave Raham's J/29 "Dream On" by seven seconds, in third was Dan Mather sailing "Crusader". In Division 2 the only finisher was Ron Smith on "Splash". |
